Privacy Policy

Street Prompts is made by Ryan Katsanes. This policy explains what the app does with your photos and information. The short version: your journal is yours, the coach runs on your iPhone, and nothing is shared unless you choose to post it.

No accounts, tracking or ads

There is no sign-up. The app uses your iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit. It contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking, and it does not sell or share your data with anyone.

Your journal

When you import a photo from Photos or Files, the app saves a copy with the prompt, the coach’s notes and the photo’s details (camera, lens and exposure settings, capture time, and location if the photo has it). Your journal is stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud database, so it appears on your other devices. Only you can see it. The developer has no access to it.

The coach

Coaching happens entirely on your iPhone, using Apple’s on-device frameworks and, where available, Apple Intelligence. Your photos are never uploaded to analyze them.

The community

Nothing is posted unless you post it. To post, you create a profile with a display name. A post contains:

• your photo, resized, with all embedded metadata removed
• the prompt it answers and your display name
• a camera settings line, such as “35mm · f/8 · 1/250 · ISO 400”, when the photo has one
• the city and region where it was taken, only if you turn on “Show where this was taken” for that post

Exact coordinates are never posted. When you choose to show a place, your iPhone converts the location to a city name using Apple Maps, and only that name is shared. The coach’s notes are never posted.

Posts, profiles, loves and reports are stored in the app’s public iCloud database, where other Street Prompts users can see posts and profiles. Before a photo is posted, it is checked on your device for explicit content.

Reports and blocks

When you report a post or profile, a report is stored so the developer can review it. Reports are not shown to other users. Your block list is stored with your iCloud account.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. The app learns only whether you have an active subscription, never your payment details.

Deleting your data

• Delete any journal entry in the app. It is removed from all your devices.
• Remove a post from the community at any time from its journal entry.
• In Settings, Delete My Profile & Posts removes your profile, posts and loves from the community. Reports you filed and blocks you made may be kept to protect the community.

Age

Street Prompts is intended for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
